CSS DEMOSCross browser multi-browser photo gallery Mk.3

Date : 1st April 2006

For all modern browsers

This demo is too wide for your mobile screen.
Please view on a tablet or PC.

CSS PLAY - Photograph Gallery
Hover the mouse over any of the three menu choices above to show a grid of 4x4 thumbnail photographs.
Hover the mouse over any of these thumbnails to see a 2x enlarged photograph.
Click the mouse on the 2x photograph to see the 640 x 480 pixel full size photograph.
NOTE: Opera and Safari users will need to keep the mouse button pressed to see the image.
The Latest Opera beta build will act the same as Firefox and the large image will remain on screen after the mouse button is released. It is now just Safari the acts differently.
To close the fullsize photograph click on the 'X' which is displayed in the top right corner.

Information

The same method as for the previous MK.2 version but with the area for the photographs predefined so that they don't jump over any text.

This gives an area to add instructions and a faded out image to make it more interesting.

This has now been revised and simplified to use a single stylesheet and to make it work in Safari PC.

Download lightbox3.zip. The source code with the stylesheet in the head. You will, however, need to supply your own photographs.

NOTE: the zip file needs to be brought up to date with the latest source code from this page to make it work in Safari and Chrome.
