Doing it with style
Plain unordered lists with no extra markup and simple styling to add both outer and inner radii.
The second set of tabs uses newly introduced border fadeout to apply a border to the top and bottom of the radii that fades at the vertical component.
The border is interpreted correctly in IE9+, Firefox 3+, Safari and Opera. Chrome is the only browser that does not yet support this.
IE9 does not support the background gradient.
I have purposely produced these large tabs so that you can clearly see the radii.
23rd September 2011 - Full border version 3 added.
Because of all the time and effort spent in producing this demonstration I would ask that you respect my copyright.
