Please note. I get a few hundred emails a week from visitors asking for help, or posing questions on how to modify my demos to suit their application and I read them all. Unfortunately I only have a limited amount of time to spend answering these questions.

The diagonal stripes don't quite meet up though, at least in Firefox - in fact, the way they're implemented, you *wouldn't* be able to tell which way up it is...

Fergus, I think that this flag is identical to the one shown on the link https://flagspot.net/flags/gb-templ.html
The offset diagonal stripe tells you which side is attached to the flagpole. In this case it will be on the left. If you put the flagpole on the right the flag would be upside down see https://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/geography/unionjack7.html

I never cease to be astounded with your work. I am a flash/actionscripter because I enjoy the power of it, but lament the difficulty it presents disabled users. I would love to have your grasp of and passion for CSS but instead I will just have to settle for stealing your work. ;)

You should fix his Brazilian bandeira while you are at it.

Nicely done, puts mine to shame www.i-labs.co.uk/junk/ul/ (created before MaurÃcio whatever he's called) having said that i didn't spend too much time on it. Interesting method though, different thought approach.

I've played with and use CSS before, but after seeing this flag being done in CSS only, I thought I'll try and do our national flag in CSS. Here's what it look's like (only works in Firefox - for now): www.opensourcefreecd.org/cssflag.html
I'm releasing it under the GPL, so feel free to do with the code as you wish.
