Doing it with style
This is my take on the method for shrink-wrapping float left buttons as put forward by Roger Johansson at 456 Berea Street - Creating bulletproof graphic link buttons with CSS
This version uses just one image instead of two and one less 'shrink' tag.
Using padding and both positive and negative margins it is possible to use the outer link to hold one corner and the three nested <b> tags to hold the other three corners.
Tested in IE5.5, IE6, IE7, Firefox, Opera, Netscape and Mozilla. It should also be ok in all other modern browsers.
