Doing it with style
No Conditional comments, no tables, no javascript 'sfHover', just html/css for all browsers and 'TIME' for Internet Explorer IE5.5 and IE6.
This flylist menu uses HML + TIME which has been available from Microsoft since IE5.5 and is an easy way to get IE5.5 and IE6 to implement a :hover change of style on all elements instead of just links.
Tested in IE5.5, IE6, IE7, IE7 emulation, IE8, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome, Avant, SeaMonkey, Flock and Maxthon. It should also work in Mac browsers.
Using HTML + TIME as detailed in the w3.org page https://www.w3.org/TR/NOTE-HTMLplusTIME
