Doing it with style
A vertical concertina menu that works on touchscreen devices, iOS, Android and Windows 8, with animation in all the latest browsers. It also works on IE7, IE8 and IE9 without the animation.
This one can rival those created using jQuery/javascript and has the following features:
1. Has a small delay on activating the sub menus so that it ignores false triggers when the mouse is scanned quickly across the top level items.
2. Has the sub menus slide down and up giving a smooth animation.
3. Can have the menu closed on page entry as shown in the left menu.
4. Can have the menu open on page entry to show the 'current' page. This open sub menu closes when hovering over any other top level item as can be seen in the right menu.
5. The top level sub menu items can also be links and these are indicated on touch screens by an undeline on first tap. A second tap on these top level items will activate the link.
