Doing it with style
This is a recode and restyle of the previous menu to remove the need for :target and so remove the problem with the browser back button.
Works in IE9+ and all other browsers but IE9 will have an instant change of sub menu instead of the transition which can be seen in all other browsers. It even works on the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.
So click any list item with a 'left arrow' to show that items sub menu. You can then click the 'Back' link at the lower right of the menu to move back through the sub menus or click any item in the breadcrumb trail at the top of the menu.
As with the previous menu, any selected sub menu will stay on screen even when clicking elsewhere on the page. No javascript/jQuery, no :target, no iframe, no object and no programming language, just html and css.
