Information
Continuing the theme of using definition lists to produce multi-level menus, this one has a horizontal slide action with a twist that the top and sub levels are diagonally orientated.
So a definition list for each section and a horizontal slide action for each sub menu with animation in all but Internet Explorer. Working in all the latest browsers on the PC and Mac. Also works on Safari Mobile (iPad etc.) providing that the top level items are not links OR if they are links then the animation is removed.
I have also added my method of allowing multi level menus to work on the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch where a single tap of a top level link will open the sub menu and a second tap will go to that link page. When a sub menu is open then tapping anywhere outside of the menu will clost the sub menu.
