Doing it with style
This experimental menu is identical to the previous one as far as the source code and CSS are concerned. However it does make use of a small javascript file to rewrite the order of the link tags for Firefox and Mozilla only (a thank you to Jerry Anzalone for the javascript). This does require that the menu is placed in a div with an id. The id can have any name you like as long as this is placed in the body 'onload' javascript call.
So this now works in IE5.5, IE6, IE7, Netscape, Opera, Firefox, Mozilla and Safari (PC).
The javascript can be found here : geckoFix.js filesize just 581 bytes.
The next menu in this series shows how we can do away with the javascript and get it to work in all the above browsers without resorting to conditional comments.
