Doing it with style
Based on my recent image map demonstration this menu has pop-up images to give an exampe of the destination pages.
The images appear around the central links and are joined to their repective link by a thin black line.
The links are a standard unordered list and the link lines are borders of empty em tags.
The span around the images is necessary for internet explorer to function correctly. If they are omitted and the images styled directly then after the :hover they will stay on screen instead of vanishing.
You may use this method on your personal 'non-profit' web site without seeking my permission.
