Doing it with style
Another 'sliding doors' set of tabbed links with a drop line.
The previous menu has one small problem in that you need to define the widths of each top level tab in order to position the sub level drop line. This is due to a bug in IE which stops the correct z-index styling on nested lists.
However, after much trial and error and re-arranging the nested lists, I have managed to get IE to play ball. This menu is the result.
The top level tabs are now of unknown width that depends on the text within and the sub levels will now drop down over the active sub level.
As in the previou example, you can now click any of the links, top tabs or dropline, and the page will reload with your selection as the current highlighted choice.
Works in IE5.5, IE6, Firefox, Opera and should be ok in Netscape, Mozilla and Safari.
