Doing it with style
A droplist menu that works on touchscreen devices, iOS, Android and Windows 8, with animation in all the latest browsers. It also works on IE7, IE8 and IE9 without the animation.
This one can rival those created usingjQuery/javascript and has the following features:
1. Has a small delay on activating the droplist so that it ignores false triggers when the mouse is scanned quickly across the top level items.
2. Has the background panel resize with each change of top level list rather than closing the current list and opening the new one, so that the change is much smoother.
3. The sub lists fade in and out so that there is no sudden change of content.
4. There is no false trigger if you accidentally quickly cross an adjacent top level item when moving onto the drop list.
