Doing it with style
I have several slide demonstrations on my other javascript site at stunicholls.com and this one in particular Concertina Slide so I thought that I should also show how this can be done with just CSS.
Whereas the javascript version uses mouse clicks to open and close the various sub menus this one MUST use hovers as it is not possible to nest 'clicks' using just CSS.
It is also necessary to have all the expanding menus the same height so that the hover is not lost when selecting the 'next' top level menu. Items without sub menus should be placed at the top of the list.
This has been tested in IE6, IE7, Firefox, Opera, Safari(PC) and Google Chrome and does NOT use javascript.
If you want a zip file of this menu then email me, but please first read the copyright requirements below.
Because of all the time and effort spent in producing this demonstration I would ask that you respect my copyright.
This demonstration can be used subject to the following terms and conditions.
Your donations keep CSS PLAY running.
If your donation is for the use of a demo then please email me with the demo url after making your donation.
