CSS DEMOSA panoramic image scroller

Date : 28th January 2010

For all modern browsers

Information

A simple method of producing a panoramic image scroller.

This method uses two background images. One is the compressed image and the other is the full size panoramic image.

The compressed image is held as the background image for the outer div. The inner links are 5px x 240px hold the full size panoramic image as the background of b elements which are normally hidden from view.

When your mouse is hovered over any of these links, the b elements are resized to hold the full size image at 897px x 240px and are displayed at an absolute position and the left position adjusted to make it look as though the image is being scrolled.

I have reversed the scroll direction as I think this is more correct, so that you move the mouse right to drag the image right and mouse left to drag the image left.
