CSS DEMOSSlideshow by numbers

Information

This one is based on several versions that I have seen which use Flash and javascript with slide effects etc.

I thought that it would be nice to produce a CSS only version without the 'special effects' but having similar functions.

So hover over the dark background to display a row of 34 numbers, then hover any number to see a thumbnail image above that number. Click the number to get a full size image centered in the dark box with a line of descriptive text above the image.

Move the mouse outside of the dark background to hide the number bar and see the whole of the image.

The image will stay on screen until you select another image or click anywhere else on the page.

The only small problem is that this does not work perfectly in Safari(PC) or Google Chrome, but it does work in IE6, IE7, IE8, Firefox and Opera. Safari(PC) and Google Chrome requires the mouse button to be held down to see the full size image. Now working in Safari and Chrome.

All the photographs in this gallery have either been purchased from Dreamstime for use on CSS play or have been obtained from the stock.xchng. These are copyright the various photographers and should not be copied without their permission.
