Doing it with style
In collaboration with Javier Román Cortés
This is just a simple puzzle using nothing more than html and css, and works in all the latest browsers including IE6.
The object of the puzzle is to move the three discs from the left peg to the right peg stacked in the same order. The rules are simple:
1. You can only move the topmost disc in any column.
2. You cannot move a larger disc onto a smaller one.
3. You can only move a disc onto an adjacent column.
Using the arrows between the columns to move the discs from one column to the next. The direction of the arrows indicates the direction of the disc movement.
The minimum number of moves to complete the puzzle is 26.
You will notice an initial jump of the puzzle after the first movement, further movements will not affect the position of the puzzle.
For a non-jumping version see the puzzle on its own here Tower of Hanoi.
A little extra CSS3 styling has been added for browsers that understand.
