Information

Just to show how far CSS has come in the last 9 years.

In 2005 I produced this version - FLAG, for which the code was an outer div with forty three nested divs.

In 2007 I produced an updated version - FLAG, for which the code was reduced to an outer div with eleven nested divs.

Now in 2014 this version uses an outer div with just one nested div.

After a little lateral thinking - updated to use just one <div> <div class="flag"></div>

.. and finally without using ::before and ::after pseudo elements.
