Doing it with style
Who says you cannot do logic with just CSS?
This is a game of Tic-Tac-Toe (Noughts and Crosses) for two people.
Noughts always starts.
Just click in a vacant square to place your nought or cross depending on who goes first.
The CSS keeps track of whos turn it is and also when a winning line is created and also knows when a game is drawn.
When a game is won it will indicate the winning line and prompt for another game.
The code onclick="void(0)" is for the ipad etc to register clicks on the <label>s, and the href="javascript:window.location = window.location;" is for Firefox to refresh the page and start again using a blank grid. All other browsers will display a blank grid when reloading the page.
23/11/2012 Reset game now under html control.
Statistics:
There are 255,168 unique games of Tic-Tac-Toe to be played. Of these, 131,184 are won by the first player, 77,904 are won by the second player, and 46,080 are drawn.
The logic for this is covered by just a handful of lines in the stylesheet and very little code.
